The Challenge
Clinicians and hospital administrative staff were burning out trying to manage rotating on-call rosters and emergency clinic appointments across an antiquated 12-year-old interface that required over 18 clicks to reassign a single physician shift.
The Architecture & Solution
Our product design team conducted 28 in-depth workflow shadowing sessions with Australian nurse coordinators. We architected an intuitive drag-and-drop clinical calendar, high-contrast accessible visual hierarchy, and a comprehensive Figma design system containing over 200 reusable healthcare components.
Key Deliverables
- WCAG 2.2 AA accessible clinical scheduling interface
- Interactive drag-and-drop roster builder with conflict detection
- Complete Figma Design System with tokenized color and type scales
- Interactive prototype validated across 5 healthcare facilities
